Carbohydrates vs. Oil & Natural Gas

• The price of carbohydrates versus oil & natural gas will be less in most global markets. More grid wind power, more natural gas will be needed to back it.

• Natural gas prices will likely remain significantly higher than digester or landfill produced biogas prices on an energy equivalent basis.

• Chemical and fuel production, using carbohydrates, represents a compelling economic opportunity in markets such as Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia that possess abundant sugar and cellulose resources, but little or no local sources of petroleum.
